A Taste of Kurzeme Full Day Tour

Kurzeme, Latvia's western region is a stunning blend of deep pine forests, long beaches and rolling hills, dotted with graceful manor houses and fine old farmhouses.

We explore the natural beauty and rich culture of Kurzeme in this amazing full day tour!

I will pick you up from your hotel in Riga or Jurmala. Our first stop will be in Smārde village, where we will meet organic beekeeper Edgars Šneiders. We will learn about his honey made by bees from pristine Kemeri National Park and sample some of the sweet delights.

The next stop is Ruzciems Manor House. Here we will see the beautifully restored interior of the 600 year old house, including paintings by the owner, Laila Kelle.

Laila will serve us lunch made from seasonal local ingredients, then there will be a chance to stroll in her beautiful garden and along the nature trail through forests and bogs.

We proceed to the pretty town of Sabile in the picturesque Abava River Valley. We will see Sabile Wine Hill, the world's most northerly outdoor vineyard, then go to "Drubazas" farm to taste some local wine.

I can also tailor the tour for your interests and needs. We can also visit Lestene Church and its magnificent wood carvings, spectacular Pedvāle Sculpture Park and other amazing places.

• The price of the tour is 270 euros for one person, 300 euros for two people, 330 euros for three people, 360 euros for four people, 400 euros for five people and 430 euros for six people.
